Based on factors including production
Rankings were based on assets under management for independent broker/dealer reps only.
The rankings are based on data provided by over 4,000 for 2010 and 2011, 3,000 for 2009, and 7,000 for 2005 and 2006, of the nation's most productive advisors. Factors included in the rankings: assets under management} revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice, and philanthropic work. Institutional assets are given less weight in the scoring. Investment performance isn't an explicit component, because not all advisors have audited results and because performance figures often are influenced more by clients' risk tolerance than by an advisor's investment-picking abilities.
This recognition was received while Robert Collins was part of Wachovia Securities, LLC. Wachovia Securities, LLC is now Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC, a registered broker-dealer and a separate non-bank affiliate of Wells Fargo & Company.
Reuters AdvicePoint Top Advisers is a financial adviser recognition program that helps investors find advisers. This ground-breaking list recognizes the top financial advisers in communities across America. To be considered for Top Advisers, advisers were asked to complete an online survey regarding the metrics of their practice, and resulting submissions were tabulated and grouped by geographic regions. Quantitative criteria including multi-year growth of average assets per client were used to benchmark advisers in categories including location, assets under management and niche client focus (e.g.) professions, language, average client net-worth, etc.).
Candidates who pass our rigorous screens have served a minimum of 15 years in the industry, have acquired substantial assets under management, demonstrate superior client service and have earned recognition from their peers and the broader community for the honor they reflect on their profession.
